EVANG. (DR) DAMOLA ADESOYE OMONIJO
Evang. Damola Omonijo is the sitting Governor of Ogun State GOMAN. She was born on 24th of July, in the early 70’s into the family of Late Chief Ajibola Emmanuel and Deaconess comfort Funmilayo Adeyanju of Ikere Ekiti in Ekiti State.
Dr. Damola Omonijo had her fleet of educational attainment from Primary up to the University level at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye where she bagged the Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
She is a devout Christian. Ordained as Deaconess in christ Apostolic church in the year 2004. In 2013 and 2014, she obtained a Doctorate Degree in Theology and Doctor of Philosophy (Divinity) respectively at the Gospel Theological Seminary, Ibadan. In same 2013, she was conferred holy order as an Evangelist in Sacred Music. A fellow of Chattered Theologian.
Due to her shrewdness in management of affairs and acumen, she ventured into business arena and is the Chief Executive Officer of JOSLATECH Nigeria Limited and the President of Aanu Oluwaseyi Multipurpose Cooperative Union.
As result of her versatility and skill expertise, she was appointed to serve in the following capacities as:
i. State market coordinator of Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) Ogun State.
ii. District Women Leader of Good Women Association, Christ Apostolic Church Ita Osin, Abeokuta.
iii. Music Coordinator of the Goodwomen Choir in Lafenwa DCC in Abeokuta.
A woman of vision and mission. The Chief executive officer of JOY. COM MUZICS LTD. A convener of Biannual program tagged ‘Ayo igbala concert and praise Gathering’. Dr. Damola Omonijo is happily married to Elder Sunday Olatunji Omonijo who is one of the Pillars of the Gospel Music Ambassadors of Ogun State GOMAN. Their union is blessed with God fearing and purposeful glorious children. Selfless and deeply committed Ambassador of GOMAN.
Previously, she has served as a Zonal Chairman in Abeokuta North, Welfare Officer 1 in state level, Deputy Governor 1, one term Governor, a member of the National Executive Committee of GOMAN and one of the board of pillars of Abeokuta North Zone.
Her diligence, doggedness and deep commitment to the advancement of GOMAN in Ogun State earned her the great award of Prestigious Order of the Grand Commander of Gospel Music. It should be noted that she is the first to attain this cadre in Ogun State GOMAN, to the glory of God Almighty.
This noble woman is
a prayer addict, Revivalist, prophetic praiser and rugged end time Evangelist that carries Holy ghost fire about everywhere she is to deliver.
A virtuous wife and a mother . She is vying for the exalted position of Governor at the state level for the second term. She has always demonstrated capacity and competence in handling any responsibility entrusted to her.
Without doubt, her coming back will catalyze the growth and development of this association.
