KEMI TAIWO was born on June 9th, 1977 to the family of Mr and Mrs Israel and Mary Egbepeju. After her secondary school education, she proceeded to Yaba College of Technology where she had an OND in Accounting that she used in pursuing a direct entry admission into Lagos State University,LASU, where she later bagged a B.Sc degree in Accounting. So far, she had been in the teaching profession.
She got married in the year 2002 to Engr. Ayodeji Abimbola Taiwo and they are blessed with children. She attended Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura Sango Ota zonal headquarter. Due to her meritorious service in the vineyard of God, she was ordained as a Deaconess. Also, an award was presented to her by the church in year 2021 in recognition of her commitment. All glory to God.
Kemi have been in the gospel music ministry officially since 2004 when her first album was released. The band was first named, Setemi. Thereafter it was changed to Key of David by God’s leading.
She joined GOMAN in the year 2013 under the leadership of Rev. Canon Gboyega the immediate past governor and Evang. Gbenga Afuwape, the then chairman of Ota zone. She have since been active both at the zonal level, state level and once at the national level during the conference held at National theatre Iganmu Lagos. Worthy of mentioning is that Kemi Taiwo is the outgoing Vice Chairman of Ado Odo-Ota Zone.
Kemi Taiwo contributed in various capacities to the growth of this Association. On behalf of GOMAN, she recorded a jingle for the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun after his swearing in. She also wrote the GOMAN Ogun State anthem which was accepted on vote. Kemi Taiwo is aspiring to become the Association’s Scribe after appreciating much opportunities that GOMAN has given her to serve.
